In commemoration of Women’s Month, the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Ms. Makhotso Sotyu, together with the MEC for the Department of Economic Development and Tourism, Ketso Makume, launched the Free State Women in Tourism Chapter during a two-day strategic engagement session that highlighted and celebrated the valuable contribution that is made by women in the tourism sector. The event was on the 12th to the 13th August 2026, at the Aldam Resort and Conference Centre in Ventersburg.
